Mr. Prewitt has over 20 years of construction, inspection, and design experience.  During his career, he has managed engineering projects for both public and private sector clients.  Mr. Prewitt’s background is in engineering and he has experience in the inspection, design, and analysis of steel, concrete, and masonry structures and their applicable building codes.

Since beginning his career in 1996, Mr. Prewitt has enjoyed an assortment of engineering opportunities which have resulted in an extensive knowledge base.  He began his career with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) gaining experience from a variety of roles – Project Construction Inspector, NHI Certified Bridge Inspector, Bridge Design Engineer, and Department Manager for Statewide Bridge Repair.  After 6 years with the KYTC, a brief venture as Project Engineer for a small construction company, and experience as a Structural Engineer in the micro-communication industry, Mr. Prewitt began a 9 year tenure with a large multi-disciplined engineering firm participating, in varying capacities, on projects in West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.  His roles during this tenure included Project Inspector, Project Engineer, Bridge Design Engineer, Structural Department Manager, Industrial Structural Engineer, and on site Project Management. 

During his diverse career, Mr. Prewitt has been responsible for coordinating material testing; conducting structural field inspections; developing project plans, technical specifications, construction documents; and planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of technical staff.  Since joining the Enspect team in March of 2014, Mr. Prewitt has utilized his wide-ranging experience to progress projects from initial concepts through the design and detailing process and to construction.
