Bio
Mr. Murray has over 25 years of experience working in the structural steel engineering, design and construction industry. Mr. Murray’s expertise and knowledge are in new design, detail drafting, and rehabilitation of structures, such as commercial/industrial buildings, processing equipment, and material handling systems, to name a few. This experience, along with being a problem solver and detail-oriented person, has provided a wealth of diversified knowledge for Mr. Murray to be assuredly successful on an assortment of design projects either in the field or in the office throughout the years.
Mr. Murray began his career in 1995 working as a mechanical engineering technician, designing and detailing components for CNC machines for the structural steel fabrication industry. During his service Mr. Murray went through the effort of learning the machining, fabrication, assembly, and installation processes so that his skills would better suit the trades.
In 2000 Mr. Murray took a position at a design build firm in northern Alabama. Within the year he was promoted to fabrication shop manager directing all fabricated items along with coordinating field crews for installation.
Mr. Murray returned to his home state in 2005 to work for a Chicago fabrication shop detailing and estimating high & low rise buildings in the city of Chicago. After the market collapse of 2008 building construction in Chicago came to a standstill and Mr. Murray was brought on board with Enspect, Inc. where he continued to share his vast experience with structural steel design, fabrication and construction oversite.
Mr. Murray was promoted to Associate Principal of Enspect, Inc. in 2021. Currently he is managing a variety of industrial projects along with leading our team of designers utilizing current industry BIM software and accompanied 3D scans to generate 3D models as well as producing precise 2D construction documents.
