Bio

Mr. Matthews is a Professional Engineer with over 15 years of structural and mechanical engineering experience in northwest Indiana and the Chicago area.  He has been involved in over 1200 projects in the commercial, residential and heavy industrial markets with extensive experience in the northwest Indiana manufacturing industry.  Through his work, Mr. Matthews has become experienced in manufacturing facilities and processes, structural repair and retrofit, EOT crane systems, material handling and storage systems, piping systems, heavy equipment foundations, concrete repair, and project/construction management.  Mr. Matthews routinely works directly with maintenance departments, contractors, fabricators, architects and owners from start through completion of their projects, while providing a timely, cost effective, and well-suited solution meeting their needs.

Mr. Matthews began his engineering career during internships for the Department of Energy and a general contractor.  He then in 2007 began his first full time position in HAZMAT emergency response for the Chicago area.  In 2008, Mr. Matthews accepted a position at Enspect, Inc. as a structural inspector, and since that time has provided inspection, engineering, construction monitoring, and management services for the organization.  During his time at Enspect, Mr. Matthews has assisted Enspect, Inc. in consistently improving its quality of service and becoming the primary provider of structural engineering and inspection services for numerous clients in the greater Chicago and northwest Indiana area.
